History

Dr. Amy Williamson

Established in 2025, The RoadTripp Vet was created with a vision of bringing veterinary medicine back to a more personal, compassionate, and stress-free experience for both pets and their families. After more than 20 years in veterinary medicine, it became increasingly clear that many pets are more comfortable, relaxed, and truly themselves within their home environment. At the same time, pet owners often feel more at ease asking questions and participating in their pet’s care when they are in the comfort of their own home.

The RoadTripp Vet was founded on the belief that veterinary care should feel unrushed, client-centered, and patient-focused. The goal was to create a practice where appointments allow time for meaningful conversations, individualized care, and a calmer experience for everyone involved. By eliminating the stress of travel, waiting rooms, and unfamiliar surroundings, pets can often receive more accurate and compassionate evaluations in a familiar setting.

In creating this mobile veterinary practice, the vision was also to provide the same level of professionalism, customer service, and modern veterinary technology that clients would expect from a traditional brick-and-mortar hospital, while still maintaining the warmth and flexibility that home visits provide. Although advanced surgeries and radiographs are referred to trusted partner facilities, The RoadTripp Vet offers comprehensive wellness care, diagnostics, preventive medicine, hospice and palliative care, laser therapy, and personalized treatment plans directly at home.

This vision continues to inspire the mission of The RoadTripp Vet every day: to provide thoughtful, compassionate veterinary care while building lasting relationships with pets and the people who love them.

Dr. Amy Williamson

Dr. Amy Williamson is a trusted and experienced veterinarian who has been proudly serving the community for over 20 years. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to providing personalized veterinary care while building meaningful relationships with both pets and their families. As the founder of The RoadTripp Vet, Dr. Williamson’s vision has always centered around creating a more comfortable, stress-free, and client-focused experience through in-home veterinary medicine.

Her professional interests include preventive care, dentistry, pain management, laser therapy, nutrition, and alternative medicine. Over the next several years, Dr. Williamson hopes to further expand her expertise in integrative therapies such as acupuncture and chiropractic care, allowing her to offer even more options to help pets live longer, healthier, and happier lives. She strongly believes in individualized care plans that support quality of life at every stage, from wellness and prevention to senior and hospice care.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Williamson enjoys spending time with her family and animals. She lives with her husband, Seth, their two daughters, three dogs, two cats, five guinea pigs, and her beloved horse, Sir Galahad. When she is not caring for patients on the road, she can often be found outdoors, at the barn, or enjoying time with her pets and family.
